Do you guys prefer these ones to specific season tires?

What brand of tires are the ZDX currently running?

If they are all season, I'd suggest getting some snow tires for the winter months. Not only will they help you with traction and braking, you'll have piece of mind as well.

For all season tires, I think you just have to get whatever suits your driving style. I have Falken ZIEX 912s right now, which is a good combination for my daily driving and occasional track visit.

Its always better to go with specific season tires. All season tires are basically tires that aren't good enough for winter and summer. They only have proper grip in really narrow temperature range. Too hot or too cold of a day and they wont grip.

But honestly, I have driven with all season tires for years and have never had an issue.

I prefer to go for specific season tires. You can tell the difference for sure.

Also how bad of a winter do you get? I live in canada and I had some bad experiences with all-seasons. With winter tires though, never had a problem.
